Breakfast Conversations

Pavlina is such a verbal child, most days she says some very entertaining things. This morning's breakfast conversation:

"Mom, I like to eat skin." she says.
"Yuck! Why would you want to eat skin? Where do you eat it from?" I reply.
"From my fingernails." (We are working on not biting nails).
"Why don't you eat oatmeal instead? Or fruit, or vegetables, just not skin!" I suggest.
"Eat your oatmeal, Hannibal." Dad adds.
"I'm not hamable." Pav derisively replies, with one contemptuous eyebrow raised.

Earlier, Scott and Pav had been discussing the Fox and the Hound. "When I was a kid and I watched the Fox and the Hound, I wanted a fox to keep as a pet." Scott said.
"No, a fox would bite your skin. Its a wild animal." Pav replied.
"Yeah, its not good to keep wild animals as pets." Dad agreed.
"Yeah, keeping Bella is dangerous." Pav added, incriminating our lazy but unpredictably wicked cat as the menace she is when in one of her bitey moods. Pav cutely calls this "Bella's feeling bity!"
